How often should I practice yoga?
How often you make the most of our yoga sessions depends on your goals and other commitments. If you're a beginner, you may find it helpful to book regular classes a couple of times a week as this can help to improve your flexibility without overexerting yourself.
As you progress to more advanced levels, you may find that you want to increase the frequency.
Can yoga help with stress and anxiety?
Yoga is well-known for offering a range of stress relief benefits. You'll learn a variety of breathing techniques, meditation, and relaxation postures, all of which can help to calm your mind, reduce your anxiety, and enhance emotional and mental well-being.
How does yoga differ from other types of exercise?
Typical forms of exercise tend to focus on physical fitness and activity. Yoga, on the other hand, emphasises the connection between the mind and body.
It mixes postures that improve strength and flexibility with mental and emotional well-being, all with the aim of promoting holistic approach to health.
A note from Sarah- Yoga Teacher at Studio Om:
“I am so pleased to share the yoga sanctuary I’ve found at St. Barnabas Parish Hall. When I was looking for a place to hold my classes, I wanted something more authentic than the typical yoga studios with mirrors and fancy decor. This space is bright, calming, and deeply grounding. The high ceilings and beautiful, intricate windows make the space feel like a spiritual sanctuary with a holistic approach to yoga”.
